Find an ebook or digital audiobook.
Use R.E.A.D.S. (Regional eBook & Audiobook Download System) to find downloadable audio books and electronic books, including popular fiction, consumer nonfiction, language instruction, and books for children and teens. The eBooks are available in PDF format; audio books are available in Windows Media format. The digital books are compatible with many desktop computers, laptops, smart phones, e-readers, WMA/MP3 players, Applie devices (iPad, iPods, iPhone), and tablet PCs. Once downloaded, many audio books can be burned to CD and used in car stereos or regular CD players. Books check out for 2 weeks; after 2 weeks, the books are automatically returned — no late fees ever! You may check out a maximum of 10 titles at a time. Like normal library books, you can place a hold on any unavailable title and receive an email notification when the book is ready for you to check out. - On your first visit, you will need to download free software from the website, in order to listen to the digital audio books.
- To sign in, select the Highland Rim Region.
- Then select your library branch (Eagleville, Linebaugh, MGL, or Smyrna) and enter your library card number.
