Computer Technician - Part Time - 25 hrs/wk - Linebaugh Library

Linebaugh Public Library System is seeking 1 Part Time Computer Technician position. A Computer Technician performs a variety of technical duties primarily concerning the library computer system, website, and social media outlets. Work involves the maintaining and servicing of computers at all LPLS locations as well as other duties as assigned. This position reports to the System Administrator. This position is classified as Non-Exempt for the purpose of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is an entry level position. Starting salary is $13.71 per hour.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience working with computer maintenance, networking, website, and social media development/maintenance required. Reliable transportation and clean driving record. Prior library experience preferred. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college desired.

Library Associate - Part Time - Smyrna Library - 16hrs/wk

Smyrna Library is seeking a part-time Library Associate. The position of Library Associate is responsible for performing various duties primarily concerning the operation of the Circulation and Reference departments within the Linebaugh Public Library System. This employee has extensive contact with the public. Duties include, but are not limited to: the circulating of books and other library materials, assisting patrons in locating and using needed materials; assisting patrons in accessing and using databases; assisting patrons in using computers and conducting research on the Internet; assisting patrons in locating library materials in various areas of the library; performing daily maintenance of periodicals; and performing readers advisory services. This is an entry level position. This position is classified as Non-Exempt for the purpose of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Starting salary is $9.19 per hour. Evenings and weekends required.

Volunteer (General)

Linebaugh Public Library System welcomes volunteers for each of its branches. You must be age 16 or older. Volunteers are needed to assist with: shelf reading, straightening books, phone calls, data entry, searching for books, filing, grant writing, assisting with programs, and other tasks. Volunteers should complete a volunteer application and return it to the Circulation Desk at your branch library. Volunteer orientations are held at 4 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Linebaugh.

Volunteer through Friends of Linebaugh

The Friends of Linebaugh Library has a community outreach volunteer program. Persons interested in volunteering for events should fill out the Friends of the Library Volunteer Form.

Computer Class Instructors (Volunteer)
