Cataloging Clerk - Part Time - (25 hours) - Linebaugh Library
Linebaugh Public Library seeks a part-time Cataloging Clerk. Duties include, but are not limited to: classifying books and other library materials by computer according to MARC format, accurately and efficiently cataloging books and other library materials, performing related data processing of all new library materials, and identifying materials in need of original cataloging. LPLS is looking for individuals that are flexible, understanding every day does not go as planned, a self starter, very detail oriented, and able to prioritize/handle different tasks each day. Prior cataloging experience desired. Must be at least 18 years of age, High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and one year prior employment in a library setting or related field, or equivalent library coursework, required. This is an entry level position. This position is classified as Non-Exempt for the purpose of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Starting salary is $9.58 per hour.

Linebaugh Public Library System welcomes volunteers for each of its branches. You must be age 16 or older. Volunteers are needed to assist with: shelf reading, straightening books, phone calls, data entry, searching for books, filing, grant writing, assisting with programs, and other tasks. Volunteers should complete a volunteer application and return it to the Circulation Desk at your branch library. Volunteer orientations are held at 4 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Linebaugh.
