Collection Development Coordinatior – Full-Time
Linebaugh Public Library System is seeking a full-time Collection Development Coordinator. This position is responsible for overseeing the operation and supervision of the Technical Services Department. Responsibilities include the system wide selection and ordering of materials in all formats; conducting ongoing collection analysis; working jointly with department and satellite/branch managers in achieving objectives of LPLS strategic plan; assisting in developing the operating budget; ensure spending and purchases are within the approved budgetary limitations and legal guidelines. This is a mid/upper level position. The employee will be directly responsible to the Director of the Linebaugh Public Library System. This position is classified as Exempt for the purpose of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program required. Prior library experience preferred. Prior experience working in customer service environment preferred.
Salary: $3265 gross per month; negotiable based on experience, plus benefits.

Linebaugh Public Library System welcomes volunteers for each of its branches. You must be age 16 or older. Volunteers are needed to assist with: shelf reading, straightening books, phone calls, data entry, searching for books, filing, grant writing, assisting with programs, and other tasks. Volunteers should complete a volunteer application and return it to the Circulation Desk at your branch library. Volunteer orientations are held at 4:00 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Linebaugh.
The Friends of Linebaugh Library has a community outreach volunteer program. Persons interested in volunteering for events should fill out the Friends of the Library Volunteer Form.
