Friends of Linebaugh Library is sponsoring a fundraising campaign toward the purchase of a new truck to be used for delivering materials between the Linebaugh Public Library System branches. Currently, the libraries use the sole LPLS van to transit materials, which are manually moved by the crate five days a week. Funds raised through this campaign effort would provide a vehicle with a ramp that would enable staff to safely transport book carts between branches, eliminating the heavy lifting now required.
Carol Ghattas, Branch Librarian at Linebaugh, says: "We so appreciate our Friends of Linebaugh sponsoring this fundraising campaign. As our Library System grows along with the county, we want to be able to continue to meet the requests of our patrons. Being able to move materials between branches in a timely and efficient manner is crucial."
